LazySusan has built a collection of custom-built turntables ranging from 6 inches up to 8 feet. A 22-foot table for autos is next. For now, our 4-foot and 8-foot turntables can support up to 500 pounds quite easily -like a sculpture, a motorcycle, or some industrial equipment. A fully-automated camera system controls the turntable gear motor and also triggers the camera. Perfect for photo-angle accuracy.
How does this work?
Simple. Place an object on a turntable then photograph it at various angles with a still camera. Or, allow the motor to spin the table smoothly for a video camera. With stills, record each angle then assemble animations into common movie formats for playback.. in a webpage or on a 50-inch HD video screen. Still photos are captured with digital Nikon cameras and video with a Canon HD camcorder. We can record both simultaneously.
Making 72 still images seems to work best for most applications but we can record any number of shots up to 360 frames (one each degree). Again, 'still photo sets' are finalized into commonly used video formats like MPEG, MOV, or AVI.. Stills are GIFs... and all are sized to meet your use or system requirements.
Only thing left to do is....Dress
up the set!
Hey, our products are new to the advertising world and they are a refreshing change to usual advertising. Just hanging a background behind a spinning object can be quite effective, or, we can set up the system 'on location' for a real city-scape background... and around Seattle, there are plenty of unique vistas. We can also travel to your specific location.
Smaller tables like the 6-inch turntable are great for precision views. Small items like jewelry and miniatures really look good on this table. The 2-foot and 4-foot turntables work well for 'classic tabletop' product shots -3D sculpture, antiques, or custom-made machined parts.. even people in vintage clothes. The 8-footer is great for anything bigger like vintage motorcycles.

Other ideas...?
We'll listen to you. We'll give anything a spin!
Consider alternate uses like dynamic training aids for schools, industrial, or for health care equipment training.
Our recent projects include 'spinning' a fully-equipped skin diver on the 8-foot table to show proper skin diving setup. Final output will be shown within a dive shop on their in-store LCD display. Another is a set of jet engine fan blades to show their unique manufacturing. Maybe we'll be recording a few vintage costumes too.. so are you ready? We are!
